After a defensive mix-up in Agrinio's zone, Minas Lidakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Kamionka came out of the goal and Minas Lidakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Babbis Kagiouzis fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agrinio's protests and gave Babbis Kagiouzis a yellow card for diving instead. Fotis Chatziapostolou struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Sven Kamionka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thrilos. Fotis Chatziapostolou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Sven Kamionka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraskevas Kanavopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telis Kostiadis in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Babbis Kagiouzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Thrilos's goal looked a bit too open when Telis Kostiadis came free, but Paraskevas Kanavopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thrilos's Paraskevas Kanavopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telis Kostiadis in the 26th minute of play. Thrilos's Thymios Papoulidis got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Agrinio's goalkeeper Sven Kamionka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fotis Chatziapostolou. Telis Kostiadis took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paraskevas Kanavopoulos. Paraskevas Kanavopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 35 minutes of play, Agrinio's Telis Kostiadis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paraskevas Kanavopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute Telis Kostiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paraskevas Kanavopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Agrinio's Telis Kostiadis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paraskevas Kanavopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Agrinio's Sven Kamionka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Agrinio from getting a goal against them.
