In the 3rd minute, Petros Stratos made a precise shot to the right of Stamatis Papazacharias. Karfás's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Prσsnik's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Kokkinos came free, but Dimitris Bochonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panos Bouroutzikas made a great header on Karfás's corner, it was just that Prσsnik's Dimitris Bochonis managed to reach the ball for a save. When Karfás's Stratos Pithagoras in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Prσsnik's Petros Stratos got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Prσsnik's Dimitris Bochonis got control of the ball when Stratos Pithagoras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karfás's Stratos Pithagoras was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stamatis Xenitias in the 29th minute of play. Stamatis Papazacharias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 33rd minute of the match. Stamatis Papazacharias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themistoklis Lissaridis in the 34th minute of play. If Giorgos Kouradakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute, Panos Bouroutzikas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Prσsnik's Dimitris Bochonis didn't even have to move. Karfás's Panos Bouroutzikas got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Prσsnik were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Stamatis Papazacharias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Stratos in the 52nd minute of play. Stamatis Papazacharias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Stratos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stamatis Papazacharias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Nikopolidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Stamatis Papazacharias was a little too slow when Giorgos Nikopolidis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-4. A collision led to Karfás getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Filippos Charalambakis hit a great ball. Stamatis Papazacharias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignatios Dimitroulis in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute Nektarios Michalitsios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stamatis Papazacharias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stamatis Xenitias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karfás's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Giorgos Nikopolidis scored to the left of an out of position Stamatis Papazacharias, making the score, 1-5. Giorgos Kouradakis's late challenge caught a Prσsnik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Kouradakis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Prσsnik booed when Karfás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Kouradakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 83rd minute of play. Stamatis Papazacharias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Stratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Stratos Pithagoras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dimitris Bochonis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giorgos Nikopolidis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stamatis Papazacharias came out and tried to block the shot, but Giorgos Nikopolidis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 89th minute. Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Giorgos Nikopolidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stamatis Papazacharias, 1-7. Prσsnik's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
