The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giannis Tziolis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dimitris Bochonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Bountouris, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefanos Bountouris during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in POUTSA FC's zone, Giorgos Nikopolidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Tziolis came out of the goal and Giorgos Nikopolidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes of play, Prσsnik's Stamatis Xenitias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giannis Tziolis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 12 minutes, Themistoklis Lissaridis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prσsnik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Themistoklis Lissaridis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stefanos Bountouris was shown his second yellow card after 15 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 15th minute, Stefanos Bountouris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Prσsnik getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Themistoklis Lissaridis hit a great ball. If Giorgos Nikopolidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Prσsnik's Giorgos Nikopolidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giannis Tziolis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Giorgos Nikopolidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nektarios Michalitsios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Tziolis having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Prσsnik's Petros Stratos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stamatis Xenitias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Tziolis having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Petros Stratos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giannis Tziolis. POUTSA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petros Stratos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 42 minutes into the match, POUTSA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Nikopolidis came free, but Giannis Tziolis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Tziolis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stamatis Xenitias in the 46th minute of the match. POUTSA FC's Giannis Tziolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 48th minute of play. The POUTSA FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Prσsnik were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giorgos Nikopolidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Petros Stratos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Giorgos Nikopolidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giannis Tziolis was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Prσsnik's Dimitris Bochonis to catch but Marinos Kounalakis was lucky. It became 1-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 61stth minute of the game Chatziioannou Dedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prσsnik's Dimitris Bochonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Themistoklis Lissaridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Tziolis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stamatis Xenitias in the 66th minute. Prσsnik were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after POUTSA FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nektarios Michalitsios took the corner. After taking down the ball on Prσsnik's corner Thomas Bozonis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Giannis Tziolis quite easily take care of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, POUTSA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Nikopolidis came free, but Giannis Tziolis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Prσsnik's Stamatis Xenitias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. 80 minutes into the match, POUTSA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Stratos came free, but Giannis Tziolis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Prσsnik's Giannis Tziolis threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignatios Dimitroulis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Giorgos Nikopolidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Prσsnik's Nektarios Michalitsios got a free kick in the 94th minute.
