Spectators: 6971 (Terracing: 5497, Seating: 1447, VIP seats: 27) Giorgos Nikopolidis made the kick off and thus started the match. Giorgos Nikopolidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes A.O ASTERAS SYROY got a freekick which was hit by Evaggelos Karaliopoulos. A collision led to Prσsnik getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Giorgos Nikopolidis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Prσsnik's zone, Veniamin Zervoulakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitris Bochonis came out of the goal and Veniamin Zervoulakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If German Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Prσsnik's Ignatios Dimitroulis got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the last second Mihai Vătavu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Petros Stratos in the 26thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Dimitris Bochonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Juverdeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Petros Stratos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Veniamin Zervoulakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Bochonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Veniamin Zervoulakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimitris Bochonis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Stamatis Xenitias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Vătavu having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Prσsnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Nikopolidis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Veniamin Zervoulakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.O ASTERAS SYROY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veniamin Zervoulakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Veniamin Zervoulakis to make the kick off. Veniamin Zervoulakis struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Dimitris Bochonis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.O ASTERAS SYROY. In the 52nd minute, Nektarios Michalitsios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, German Palos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitris Bochonis came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by A.O ASTERAS SYROY's Veniamin Zervoulakis. But to his dismay, Veniamin Zervoulakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Veniamin Zervoulakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Bochonis having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veniamin Zervoulakis got free with Dimitris Bochonis in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to A.O ASTERAS SYROY getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ilie Juverdeanu hit a great ball. Mihai Vătavu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Nikopolidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihai Vătavu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Nikopolidis in the 70th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Veniamin Zervoulakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitris Bochonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Palos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes A.O ASTERAS SYROY got a freekick which was hit by Yelle Hendrickx. Prσsnik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when German Palos scored to the left of an out of position Dimitris Bochonis, making the score, 0-3. Dimitris Bochonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Palos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Veniamin Zervoulakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A.O ASTERAS SYROY's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
