An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogenis Trabakoulos in the 16th minute of play forced POUTSA FC's goalkeeper Giannis Tziolis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefanos Bountouris during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, POUTSA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefanos Bountouris to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, APOLLON AGRINIOU's Alexis Tsakanikas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giannis Tziolis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marinos Kounalakis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes, Diogenis Trabakoulos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. When Telis Maras fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored APOLLON AGRINIOU's protests and gave Telis Maras a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, APOLLON AGRINIOU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Maras to maneuver through the defense. Kleon Spyropoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Vaggelis Sakaridis made a huge save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diogenis Trabakoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. Diogenis Trabakoulos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Giannis Tziolis 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kleon Spyropoulos in the 66th minute of play forced APOLLON AGRINIOU's goalkeeper Vaggelis Sakaridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. POUTSA FC's Giannis Tziolis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save POUTSA FC from getting a goal against them. Vaggelis Sakaridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chatziioannou Dedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 82 minutes, Kleon Spyropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POUTSA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kleon Spyropoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of POUTSA FC booed when APOLLON AGRINIOU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telis Maras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telis Maras hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Kleon Spyropoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vaggelis Sakaridis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kleon Spyropoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. After 92 minutes, Sokratis Fotoulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the APOLLON AGRINIOU and the POUTSA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vaggelis Sakaridis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 96 minutes, Ilias Barbikas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the APOLLON AGRINIOU and the POUTSA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ilias Barbikas hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Chatziioannou Dedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Sakaridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The APOLLON AGRINIOU supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing APOLLON AGRINIOU would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
