Kari Benzema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stavros Tsakanikas during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Panafpliakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Tsakanikas. In the 11th minute PLAGIARI were awarded a corner. Odysseas Bardakis went to the cornerflag to take it. PLAGIARI's Eugenios Matzavidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Tsakanikas in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Nontas Mouratos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Kyriakos Kanellopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panafpliakos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyriakos Kanellopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenios Matzavidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nontas Mouratos in the 35th minute of play forced PLAGIARI's goalkeeper Eugenios Matzavidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenios Matzavidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stavros Tsakanikas in the 36th minute of play. Anestis Katsiaros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Seichanidis having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kari Benzema in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miltos Seichanidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes Panafpliakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Apostolis Iordanis. A collision led to Panafpliakos FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kyriakos Kanellopoulos hit a great ball. The throw-in from Iason Paltoudopoulos in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PLAGIARI's Manuel Senio. Nikos Lianos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, PLAGIARI's Odysseas Bardakis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kari Benzema stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Panafpliakos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Katsiaros came free, but Miltos Seichanidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Senio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, PLAGIARI's goalkeeper Eugenios Matzavidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apostolis Iordanis. After 56 played minutes PLAGIARI got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Senio. Stavros Tsakanikas got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 61 played minutes Panafpliakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Tsakanikas. Odysseas Bardakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miltos Seichanidis. Panafpliakos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Panafpliakos FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Apostolis Iordanis hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes PLAGIARI got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Senio. In the 64th match minute, Panafpliakos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelios Botilias to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Kyriakos Kanellopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panafpliakos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PLAGIARI the free kick. After a rather tough play, Panafpliakos FC's Kyriakos Kanellopoulos got a free kick in the 66th minute. Panafpliakos FC's Miltos Seichanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kari Benzema in the 67th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Iason Paltoudopoulos in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PLAGIARI's Manuel Senio. When Kari Benzema came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the PLAGIARI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kari Benzema couldn't finish the play. If Nontas Mouratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kari Benzema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Seichanidis having to interfere. Anestis Katsiaros hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. PLAGIARI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Nontas Mouratos scored to the left of an out of position Eugenios Matzavidis, making the score, 1-2. Eugenios Matzavidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kyriakos Kanellopoulos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play. In the 96th minute, Stergios Simeonidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panafpliakos FC's Chrisostomos Prikourakis got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
