The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Farαkla BC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alkinoos Banasas hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Korelas during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valerios Batakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Bougatselis having to interfere. Alexis Bougatselis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fivos Damianos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fivos Damianos got free with Alexis Bougatselis in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute Artmir Pejkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Maddern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Msaed Al Khobaize took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neil Maddern. Neil Maddern dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Veniamin Kontopanos kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, astrapi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 孙宇洲 to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Fivos Damianos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. astrapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fivos Damianos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Valerios Batakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Farαkla BC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Msaed Al Khobaize stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of astrapi booed when Farαkla BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Vallas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikos Limnios made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Wes Izemborgh. After 57 played minutes astrapi got a freekick which was hit by Eugenios Nalitzis. The supporters of astrapi booed when Farαkla BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkinoos Banasas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Dino Pomponio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. astrapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Pomponio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 played minutes astrapi got a freekick which was hit by 孙宇洲. When Veniamin Kontopanos fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored astrapi's protests and gave Veniamin Kontopanos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Veniamin Kontopanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. astrapi's Dimitris Tzanetoulakos was substituted for Valerios Batakis. After 77 played minutes astrapi got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Kontopanos. Farαkla BC were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after astrapi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iosif Vallas took the corner. Farαkla BC's Iosif Vallas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Neil Maddern in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alexis Bougatselis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Tzanetoulakos in the 84th minute of the match. Alexis Bougatselis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Tzanetoulakos in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Farαkla BC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
