In the 29th minute of the game, Kostas Karameros landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Notis Sapalidis's late challenge caught a FC Bad Company's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With 41 minutes on the clock, Iason Kyriakos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 41st minute, one of Internationale:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Internationale. Teo Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurtuluş Erdursun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Notis Sapalidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alketas Mardakis in the 73rd minute of play forced Internationale's goalkeeper Teo Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Konstantinos Leontiadis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Internationale fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Bad Company were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
