After 13 minutes of play, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Jerzy Zbikowski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Paez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evaggelos Kapetanidis was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Iakovos Kapetanos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iakovos Kapetanos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Evaggelos Kapetanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Jaszyna in the 23rd minute of the match. Victor Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Zbikowski in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Waclaw Jaszyna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaggelos Kapetanidis was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Waclaw Jaszyna succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Jerzy Zbikowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Paez having to interfere. Jerzy Zbikowski scored 2-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Paez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Evaggelos Kapetanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Kriaris in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iakovos Kapetanos to make the kick off. The supporters of Αστέρας Δερβενίου booed when Drafi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Nikitaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Paez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The supporters of Drafi booed when Αστέρας Δερβενίου was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Periklis Vougiouklakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kemal Türünk hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Paris Karaindros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Paez. That made the score 2-5 after 68 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the match, Drafi's goal looked a bit too open when Grigoris Bikakis came free, but Victor Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paris Karaindros in the 72nd minute. Evaggelos Kapetanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iakovos Kapetanos in the 74th minute of the match. Evaggelos Kapetanidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Babbis Kriaris went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Evaggelos Kapetanidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iakovos Kapetanos in the 82nd minute of play. Evaggelos Kapetanidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Jaszyna, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Jaszyna in the 92nd minute of play forced Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goalkeeper Evaggelos Kapetanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaggelos Kapetanidis came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Drafi's Iakovos Kapetanos. But to his dismay, Iakovos Kapetanos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-5. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
