Alekos Stergakos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nasos Venetidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andreas Björck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Soulis Vamvakousis having to make a save. After 38 minutes of play, meteora 1929's Nikos Sarkanis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Alexoudis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute Simos Manousopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soulis Vamvakousis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
