After 22 minutes Blue Lions FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aris Karantonis who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Thanos Moisidis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pipis Siapanidis kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Fragiskos Karaliopoulos hit a great ball. Ermis Prasomouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Björck in the 35th minute of play. Simos Manousopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ermis Prasomouris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermis Prasomouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Björck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 70th match minute, Geo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petros Peponis to maneuver through the defense. Ermis Prasomouris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Björck's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Andreas Björck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermis Prasomouris. Geo United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Björck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Fragiskos Karaliopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Geo United's goalkeeper Ermis Prasomouris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simos Manousopoulos. In the 80th minute, Simos Manousopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stathis Klotsidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermis Prasomouris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Björck, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
