Paško Vukašin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argyris Stokas in the 14th minute of play. Argyris Stokas scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paško Vukašin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Panos Barbagiannis kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Dawid Kosakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paško Vukašin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Argyris Stokas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Π.Ε.Κ.Θ's Paško Vukašin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, PaoK Neapoleos's Andreas Giakoumis got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in PaoK Neapoleos's zone, Vassilis Liopiris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Π.Ε.Κ.Θ booed when PaoK Neapoleos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Giakoumis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paško Vukašin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argyris Stokas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Agustin Limofer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Isidoros Tsagarakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Tsekouras in the 45th minute of play forced PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Π.Ε.Κ.Θ's goalkeeper Paško Vukašin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half PaoK Neapoleos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Limofer to make the kick off. Argyris Stokas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Paško Vukašin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner led PaoK Neapoleos's Dawid Kosakowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Paško Vukašin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Tsekouras in the 60th minute of play forced PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Π.Ε.Κ.Θ's Paško Vukašin got control of the ball when Argyris Stokas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Argyris Stokas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paško Vukašin. That made the score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. Vassilis Roubakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Paško Vukašin made a huge save. Vassilis Roubakis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paško Vukašin firmly grabbed it by the left post. 73 minutes into the match, Π.Ε.Κ.Θ's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Barbagiannis came free, but Paško Vukašin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vassilis Roubakis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paško Vukašin came out and tried to block the shot, but Vassilis Roubakis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 75th minute. Paško Vukašin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vassilis Roubakis went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Charis Tsekouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Paško Vukašin managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when PaoK Neapoleos's Vassilis Roubakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded PaoK Neapoleos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Π.Ε.Κ.Θ.
