The Εθνικός Αστέρας fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kleon Tsoutsikas should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Εθνικός Αστέρας's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Nentopoulos came free, but Kleon Tsoutsikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Εθνικός Αστέρας's Stratos Melisofagos got a free kick in the 14th minute. Nikos Nentopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Kleon Tsoutsikas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kleon Tsoutsikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikiforos Frantzeskos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Εθνικός Αστέρας's Aleksandar Špoljarić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marios Kostis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marinos Koskotas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odysseas Karouselis's late challenge caught a Εθνικός Αστέρας's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Odysseas Karouselis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Punk Fathers's Odysseas Karouselis got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Aleksandar Špoljarić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marios Kostis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Nentopoulos in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleon Tsoutsikas saved Εθνικός Αστέρας from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Nikos Nentopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kleon Tsoutsikas was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, Εθνικός Αστέρας's goal looked a bit too open when Marinos Koskotas came free, but Kleon Tsoutsikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Nikos Nentopoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kleon Tsoutsikas, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Boland McJohn made the kick off in the second half. Charis Giasemis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleon Tsoutsikas having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Nikos Nentopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksandar Špoljarić in the 55th minute of play forced Punk Fathers's goalkeeper Marios Kostis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleon Tsoutsikas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marinos Koskotas's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Boland McJohn came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marios Kostis could save by the left post. Marinos Zouboulakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Nentopoulos in the 70th minute of play forced Εθνικός Αστέρας's goalkeeper Kleon Tsoutsikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Punk Fathers booed when Εθνικός Αστέρας was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenios Pourliotopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Charis Giasemis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kleon Tsoutsikas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Εθνικός Αστέρας getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Stratos Melisofagos hit a great ball. Kleon Tsoutsikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Nentopoulos in the 76th minute of the match. Odysseas Karouselis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Boland McJohn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marios Kostis. Punk Fathers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boland McJohn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Aleksandar Špoljarić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marios Kostis having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Aleksandar Špoljarić reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marios Kostis. The goal made the score 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
