In the 3rd match minute, AEK Lamia club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolis Karaiskakis to maneuver through the defense. AEK Lamia club's Giannis Kazatzis got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skepαrion BC's goalkeeper Manos Konstantinoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Skarbatonis in the 11th minute of play forced Skepαrion BC's goalkeeper Manos Konstantinoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Konstantinoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Skarbatonis in the 13th minute of the match. Manos Konstantinoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Skarbatonis in the 15th minute of play. Manos Konstantinoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Kazatzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dave Demets kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Skepαrion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Skarbatonis came free, but Manos Konstantinoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, AEK Lamia club's Giannis Kazatzis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manos Konstantinoulis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alkinoos Ploumoudis during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AEK Lamia club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alkinoos Ploumoudis hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Giannis Kazatzis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Konstantinoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Themis Pesmatzoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miltos Skarbatonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannis Kassianidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takis Voutsas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manos Konstantinoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Kazatzis in the 43rd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Kazatzis got free with Manos Konstantinoulis in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as AEK Lamia club's Giannis Kazatzis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manos Konstantinoulis. That made the score 0-1 after 75 minutes of play. Manos Konstantinoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Skarbatonis in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Giannis Kazatzis could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Manos Konstantinoulis however easily saved by the left post. 94 minutes into the game, Miltos Skarbatonis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manos Konstantinoulis. Miltos Skarbatonis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2.
