After a rather tough play, Trifillia.FC's Giannis Basinas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 5th minute of the match, Jassem Al Khars got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kleon Tsoutsikas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 林超青 scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christos Agathoulis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 10 minutes, 林超青 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Εθνικός Αστέρας's supporters crossed their fingers, but 林超青 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Trifillia.FC defense, Boland McJohn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christos Agathoulis. The Trifillia.FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christos Agathoulis should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the game, 林超青 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Christos Agathoulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Εθνικός Αστέρας booed when Trifillia.FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Su didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Trifillia.FC defense, Boland McJohn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christos Agathoulis. In the 34th minute Jassem Al Khars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleon Tsoutsikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Εθνικός Αστέρας booed when Trifillia.FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Basinas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vaggelis Kalpis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the game, 林超青 landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 43 minutes into the game, Mehmet Bilge Bartu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trifillia.FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Εθνικός Αστέρας the free kick. Εθνικός Αστέρας's Vladimiros Klapanaras was substituted for 林超青. In the 42nd minute, one of Trifillia.FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Trifillia.FC. Christoforos Zografos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleon Tsoutsikas having to interfere. The Trifillia.FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Εθνικός Αστέρας were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksandar Špoljarić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jassem Al Khars in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kleon Tsoutsikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jassem Al Khars's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kleon Tsoutsikas was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The Trifillia.FC fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Trifillia.FC's Jassem Al Khars looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christos Agathoulis came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Εθνικός Αστέρας's Boland McJohn. But to his dismay, Boland McJohn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. 67 minutes into the match, Εθνικός Αστέρας's goal looked a bit too open when Christoforos Zografos came free, but Kleon Tsoutsikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikos Kakavetsis kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Christos Agathoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksandar Špoljarić in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Trifillia.FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Vaggelis Kalpis hit a great ball. After 78 minutes of play, Εθνικός Αστέρας's Vladimiros Klapanaras made it 2-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christos Agathoulis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christos Agathoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandar Špoljarić, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Εθνικός Αστέρας got a freekick which was hit by Marinos Zouboulakis. 85 minutes into the match, Stratos Melisofagos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christos Agathoulis. Trifillia.FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stratos Melisofagos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-9. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Aleksandar Špoljarić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Εθνικός Αστέρας's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksandar Špoljarić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Agathoulis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
