Rab Cura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Löfkvist in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, RODOS F.C.'s Henry Zimmermann got a free kick in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the match, RODOS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Odysseas Voutsas came free, but Rab Cura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Dimitris Venieris fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 32nd minute Odysseas Voutsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rab Cura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Jan-Olof Löfkvist notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RODOS F.C.'s Rab Cura. Rab Cura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd match minute, RODOS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Mitxaut to maneuver through the defense. After the first half rock were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jan-Olof Löfkvist made the kick off in the second half. Luis Laurendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Venieris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Odysseas Voutsas got free with Rab Cura in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When rock's Filippo Basse in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RODOS F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Filippo Basse showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. RODOS F.C. made a substitution. Petros Meimarakis replaced Gilberto Funes. If Claes Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Wawro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Rab Cura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odysseas Voutsas in the 88th minute. In the 89th match minute, RODOS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hillar Vent to maneuver through the defense.
