The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, ntemis's goal looked a bit too open when Mars Varkaris came free, but Kyriakos Romanidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adamantios Chiotis took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kyriakos Romanidis. Kyriakos Romanidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Backupαδες's Hakkı Demircan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Raich in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Raich in the 18th minute of play forced Backupαδες's goalkeeper Hakkı Demircan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kostas Papandreou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Romanidis having to interfere. Kyriakos Romanidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajmund Lengyel, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Kyriakos Romanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adamantios Chiotis in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ntemis's Maxim Isbășoiu got a free kick in the 37th minute. Venancio Minos short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Hakkı Demircan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kyriakos Romanidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adamantios Chiotis in the 51st minute of play. Hakkı Demircan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fragiskos Vallas went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 59 played minutes Backupαδες got a freekick which was hit by Adamantios Chiotis. Fragiskos Vallas charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fragiskos Vallas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Fragiskos Vallas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, ntemis's goalkeeper Kyriakos Romanidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adamantios Chiotis. 73 minutes into the match, Backupαδες's goal looked a bit too open when Fragiskos Vallas came free, but Hakkı Demircan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes Backupαδες's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven Ahlstedt who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sven Ahlstedt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Backupαδες's Hakkı Demircan did a great save. Venancio Mino kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Backupαδες got a freekick which was hit by Projko Tzanakakis. Sven Ahlstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hakkı Demircan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulvahit Muhteşem during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes ntemis got a freekick which was hit by Abdulvahit Muhteşem. In the 89th match minute, Backupαδες was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimilios Adamopoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Venancio Mino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakkı Demircan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that ntemis were the better team. ntemis's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
