P.A.O.K FC's Michalis Papaefthimiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Valassakos in the 5th minute of play. The Amfithea Hotspur fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Amfithea Hotspur's Konstantinos Psiloglou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Konstantinos Psiloglou took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michalis Papaefthimiou. Michalis Papaefthimiou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emmanouil Koutris during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Emmanouil Koutris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michalis Papaefthimiou came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Amfithea Hotspur's Marinos Valassakos. But to his dismay, Marinos Valassakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Hans-Hermann Möhn charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans-Hermann Möhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Amfithea Hotspur booed when P.A.O.K FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans-Hermann Möhn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michalis Papaefthimiou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Kavouroglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michalis Papaefthimiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantinos Psiloglou in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Nikos Velouchiotis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Charilaos Dimitrakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Michalis Papaefthimiou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, P.A.O.K FC's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantinos Psiloglou came free, but Michalis Papaefthimiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Christos Triantis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michalis Papaefthimiou. P.A.O.K FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christos Triantis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. P.A.O.K FC were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Amfithea Hotspur's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nilson Paraíba took the corner. The corner led P.A.O.K FC's Eustratios Ksagorarakis to a score. 1-6 in the 45th minute. After the first half Amfithea Hotspur were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Konstantinos Psiloglou made a kick off. Michalis Papaefthimiou had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Konstantinos Psiloglou's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Konstantinos Psiloglou struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Michalis Papaefthimiou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amfithea Hotspur. Michalis Papaefthimiou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantinos Psiloglou in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute, Hans-Hermann Möhn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michalis Papaefthimiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Triantis in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Konstantinos Psiloglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michalis Papaefthimiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the P.A.O.K FC defense, Konstantinos Psiloglou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michalis Papaefthimiou. The P.A.O.K FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michalis Papaefthimiou should have stopped the shot. Marinos Valassakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konstantinos Psiloglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michalis Papaefthimiou having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Balaban Haliloğlu notched a goal, 3-7, to the right of Amfithea Hotspur's Valerios Paboulis. Valerios Paboulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hans-Hermann Möhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Amfithea Hotspur had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
