The corner ended in Stergios Pantazis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Amfithea Hotspur's Valerios Paboulis did a great save. A well-hit corner resulted in Nikos Papafotakis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Valerios Paboulis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Markos Santamouris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markos Santamouris got free with Valerios Paboulis in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Mathias Jansen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valerios Paboulis. Amfithea Hotspur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Jansen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Giannis Komaitis came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Argonautes Irakliou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Komaitis couldn't finish the play. Valerios Paboulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tilemachos Balodimos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Konstantinos Psiloglou made the kick off in the second half. Argonautes Irakliou's Miltos Kastanis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Argonautes Irakliou from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Paraskevas Eleftheriadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argonautes Irakliou's supporters rose to their feet, but Paraskevas Eleftheriadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miltos Kastanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amfithea Hotspur. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting.
