Kosmas Katanias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Xomeritakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Akis Xomeritakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosmas Katanias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaios Spetzopoulos was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Stefanos Vasiliou capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stefanos Vasiliou really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. ARION F.C. Lesvos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Giannis Siamantouras in the 9th minute. Lambros Vouzatos made a great header on ARION F.C. Lesvos's corner, it was just that METEORA F.C.'s Kosmas Katanias managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Lambros Vouzatos put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kosmas Katanias. ARION F.C. Lesvos's Vaios Spetzopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinon Chatzipanagis in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ARION F.C. Lesvos's zone, Zinon Chatzipanagis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaios Spetzopoulos came out of the goal and Zinon Chatzipanagis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akis Xomeritakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kosmas Katanias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Akis Xomeritakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosmas Katanias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Kostas Menegakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kosmas Katanias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Menegakis in the 30th minute of the match. Vaios Spetzopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilias Korakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. With a little luck, ARION F.C. Lesvos's Vaios Spetzopoulos got control of the ball when Stefanos Vasiliou tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, ARION F.C. Lesvos's goalkeeper Vaios Spetzopoulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefanos Vasiliou. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zinon Chatzipanagis to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Ilias Korakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaios Spetzopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. METEORA F.C. were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after ARION F.C. Lesvos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marinos Saleas took the corner. The corner led METEORA F.C.'s Marinos Saleas to fire away a dangerous shot which Vaios Spetzopoulos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kosmas Katanias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Xomeritakis in the 57th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, METEORA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilias Korakis to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, METEORA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Akis Xomeritakis came free, but Kosmas Katanias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ARION F.C. Lesvos's Louis Stratakos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kosmas Katanias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stefanos Vasiliou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vaios Spetzopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kosmas Katanias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akis Xomeritakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, ARION F.C. Lesvos's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Vasiliou came free, but Vaios Spetzopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vaios Spetzopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolis Stratiadis in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute Zinon Chatzipanagis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaios Spetzopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
