The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Donzel Goyeneta came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the AEK S.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donzel Goyeneta couldn't finish the play. Zisis Vourlis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 6th minute of play. Anthimos Kousouridis charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthimos Kousouridis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Πυργετός Fc's Anthimos Kousouridis got a free kick in the 11th minute. Zisis Vourlis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jelte Bleiswijk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. After 19 played minutes Πυργετός Fc got a freekick which was hit by Christian Martxelin. In the 20th minute, AEK S.C's Donzel Goyeneta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zisis Vourlis. Zisis Vourlis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Πυργετός Fc were awarded a corner. Anthimos Kousouridis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Anthimos Kousouridis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas did a great save. Wit Zapolski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thanasis Koltsidas having to make a save. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Zapolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Πυργετός Fc defense, Donzel Goyeneta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zisis Vourlis. The Πυργετός Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zisis Vourlis should have stopped the shot. Jelte Bleiswijk took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zisis Vourlis. Zisis Vourlis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jelte Bleiswijk was the one to do the kick off. Donzel Goyeneta took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zisis Vourlis. Zisis Vourlis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 58 minutes into the match, Jelte Bleiswijk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zisis Vourlis. Πυργετός Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jelte Bleiswijk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When Donzel Goyeneta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 62 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Zisis Vourlis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Zisis Vourlis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Carreira in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Jelte Bleiswijk came free, but Zisis Vourlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jelte Bleiswijk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Kevin Carreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zisis Vourlis. Πυργετός Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Carreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. AEK S.C's Thomas Papatrechas was substituted for Sakis Tavlaridis. Cezary Laba kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Kevin Carreira notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Πυργετός Fc's Zisis Vourlis. Zisis Vourlis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AEK S.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
