In the 10th minute Themos Proedropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alketas Bourouselos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Corrigan in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldemar Solarek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alketas Bourouselos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themos Proedropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Fanis Salepis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldemar Solarek. The goal made the score 1-1. With a little luck, Olympiacos FC's Waldemar Solarek got control of the ball when Zisis Chronidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Waldemar Solarek. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. Alketas Bourouselos made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Paschalis Stavrakos sent off a good shot on target. Waldemar Solarek came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis. But to his dismay, Themos Leontiadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Allan Corrigan succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Allan Corrigan scored 5-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Solarek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Corrigan in the 69th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Waldemar Solarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Olympiacos FC's Themos Proedropoulos in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee ended the match the Panionios MK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
