Kimmo Pulkkinen started the match with the kick off. Gábor Erdélyi scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ylermi Karalahti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ylermi Karalahti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gábor Erdélyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Kimmo Pulkkinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Wasilewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hyvinge FC's Piotr Wasilewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Hyvinge FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Nukkelin defense, Damian Kluczyk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ylermi Karalahti. The Nukkelin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ylermi Karalahti should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Gábor Erdélyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Hyvinge FC's Piotr Wasilewski got control of the ball when Arsi Toivonen tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Henri Eerola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ylermi Karalahti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ylermi Karalahti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Ylänen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Hyvinge FC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Hyvinge FC's Gábor Erdélyi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the game, Damian Kluczyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Ylermi Karalahti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Hyvinge FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gábor Erdélyi to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 55 in the game by Gábor Erdélyi from a close distance when the talented Ylermi Karalahti managed to make a qualified save. Nukkelin's players were relieved. If Gábor Erdélyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gábor Erdélyi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Nukkelin booed when Hyvinge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmeri Kilpelä didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hyvinge FC's Ernesti Wallen was substituted for Henri Eerola. Ernesti Wallen might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ylermi Karalahti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesti Wallen ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Hyvinge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kimmo Pulkkinen came free, but Piotr Wasilewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Kullervo Kaipainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hyvinge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kullervo Kaipainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ylermi Karalahti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hyvinge FC made a substitution. Hemminki Markkanen replaced Veikko Riihijärvi. Kullervo Kaipainen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Ylermi Karalahti skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ylermi Karalahti was a little too slow when Ernesti Wallen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-8. The audience was convinced that Kullervo Kaipainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ylermi Karalahti was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Hyvinge FC's Ernesti Wallen got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Hyvinge FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nukkelin throughout the match.
