After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Juho Kokkila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rahola's supporters rose to their feet, but Juho Kokkila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarmo Blomberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Rahola got a freekick which was hit by Raimo Seikola. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Taavetti Viitaluoma managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC puikot's supporters rose to their feet, but Taavetti Viitaluoma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Usko Kaltiainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johnny Mompalao de Piro might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Usko Kaltiainen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnny Mompalao de Piro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Rahola booed when FC puikot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilppo Perälä didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Johnny Mompalao de Piro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Usko Kaltiainen. When Pellervo Hagman fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rahola's protests and gave Pellervo Hagman a yellow card for diving instead. Pellervo Hagman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Taavetti Viitaluoma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Johnny Mompalao de Piro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 33 minutes into the match, Raimo Seikola notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC puikot's Jarmo Blomberg. Jarmo Blomberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Usko Kaltiainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taavetti Viitaluoma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rahola's Juho Kokkila got a free kick in the 45th minute. Johnny Mompalao de Piro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Usko Kaltiainen having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52 played minutes Rahola got a freekick which was hit by Raimo Seikola. A collision led to Rahola getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aimo Jämsänen hit a great ball. Raimo Seikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62ndth minute of the game Johnny Mompalao de Piro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rahola's Usko Kaltiainen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Tuukka Kanerva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jarmo Blomberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Iivo Laulaja made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC puikot's Toni Halminen. Jarmo Blomberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimo Jämsänen in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rainer Niemi during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, FC puikot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rainer Niemi to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Mompalao de Piro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Usko Kaltiainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juho Kokkila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarmo Blomberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC puikot defense, Juho Kokkila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarmo Blomberg. The FC puikot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarmo Blomberg should have stopped the shot. Usko Kaltiainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Mompalao de Piro in the 84th minute of play. Aimo Jämsänen kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Johnny Mompalao de Piro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Usko Kaltiainen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Although FC puikot had been in control for most of the match, Rahola still came away with the win.
