Albert Äijälä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Topi Laaksonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Väinö Somervuori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Äijälä read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Kalhama FC defense, Topi Laaksonen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Äijälä. The Kalhama FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Äijälä should have stopped the shot. Topi Laaksonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. In the 88th minute, Topi Laaksonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niemenmaa IFK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
