Auvo Sairanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Keijo Luhtimaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmeri Wahlroos came out of the goal and Keijo Luhtimaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chelsea FC's Elmeri Wahlroos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keijo Luhtimaa in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Miko Elo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keijo Luhtimaa in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elmeri Wahlroos saved Chelsea FC from getting behind. When Keijo Luhtimaa came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Maula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keijo Luhtimaa couldn't finish the play. Auvo Sairanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elmeri Wahlroos having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Veli-Matti Kampman got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lasse Nitti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maula's supporters rose to their feet, but Lasse Nitti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmeri Wahlroos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute of the match Ossi Teräs sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elmeri Wahlroos skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keijo Luhtimaa in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elmeri Wahlroos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Keijo Luhtimaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmeri Wahlroos having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isto Suoraniemi to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Isto Suoraniemi. Keijo Luhtimaa in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elmeri Wahlroos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eetu Vestman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elmeri Wahlroos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keijo Luhtimaa's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Eetu Vestman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Elmeri Wahlroos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Isto Suoraniemi got a free kick in the 64th minute. A hard shot 65 in the game by Keijo Luhtimaa from a close distance when the talented Elmeri Wahlroos managed to make a qualified save. Chelsea FC's players were relieved. 67 minutes in the game, Keijo Luhtimaa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Elmeri Wahlroos having to interfere. Elmeri Wahlroos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lasse Nitti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 82nd minute of the match Isto Suoraniemi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isto Suoraniemi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Maula's Konsta Ramstadius got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Tarvajärvi to maneuver through the defense. Konsta Ramstadius took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elmeri Wahlroos. Elmeri Wahlroos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Chelsea FC's Elmeri Wahlroos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Chelsea FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Maula getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kyösti Sulku hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Tarvajärvi to maneuver through the defense.
