Petri Sihvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saku Vanhatalo in the 3rd minute of play. Saku Vanhatalo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Petri Sihvonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kasklahti. The supporters of Kasklahti booed when Kullanperä FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reino Ruhanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Oskari Lotvonen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kullanperä FC's Petri Sihvonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petri Sihvonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saku Vanhatalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Juhapekka Elo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kullanperä FC's protests and gave Juhapekka Elo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kullanperä FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Juhapekka Elo hit a great ball. Torsti Lähteenmäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jami Markkula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petri Sihvonen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Kasklahti's goal looked a bit too open when Olli-Pekka Kinnunen came free, but Joonatan Välivaara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Kullanperä FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vili Vilmunen to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Ensio Hannus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petri Sihvonen skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Olli-Pekka Kinnunen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joonatan Välivaara. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kasklahti's zone, Vili Vilmunen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joonatan Välivaara came out of the goal and Vili Vilmunen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kasklahti getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Hannu Kaarniemi hit a great ball. Oskari Lotvonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Petri Sihvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saku Vanhatalo in the 52nd minute of play. Kullanperä FC's Petri Sihvonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saku Vanhatalo in the 54th minute of play. Oskari Lotvonen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Petri Sihvonen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reino Ruhanen kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Oskari Lotvonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oskari Lotvonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Sihvonen having to interfere. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kasklahti's goalkeeper Joonatan Välivaara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Oskari Lotvonen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Saku Vanhatalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kasklahti's supporters rose to their feet, but Saku Vanhatalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petri Sihvonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olli-Pekka Kinnunen took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joonatan Välivaara. Joonatan Välivaara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Kullanperä FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kasklahti:s goal. The goalkeeper, Petri Sihvonen, was totally fooled by Kasklahti's Ensio Hannus, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 82 minutes, Torsti Lähteenmäki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kasklahti and the Kullanperä FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Saku Vanhatalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petri Sihvonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saku Vanhatalo in the 91st minute of the match. Vili Vilmunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kullanperä FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
