Kauno Porokara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Topias Kaipainen in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Topias Kaipainen in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauno Porokara saved Kannonhaara IFK from getting behind. Topias Kaipainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauno Porokara having to interfere. Kannonhaara IFK's Kauno Porokara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Topias Kaipainen in the 29th minute of play. Ilmari Ruuttu charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilmari Ruuttu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ilmari Ruuttu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Topias Kaipainen in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauno Porokara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elmer Koistinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Paananen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hammars's Elmer Koistinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Paananen in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Topias Kaipainen to make the kick off. If Elmo Takala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kannonhaara IFK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ilmari Ruuttu hit a great ball. Elmo Takala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Elmer Koistinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Hammars got a freekick which was hit by Sami Ojanen. 72 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Paananen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elmer Koistinen. Vilhelm Paananen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Vilhelm Paananen might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elmer Koistinen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilhelm Paananen ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Topias Kaipainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammars's supporters rose to their feet, but Topias Kaipainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kauno Porokara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 79 minutes on the clock, Taavetti Puro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 79 minutes into the game, one of Kannonhaara IFK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Hammars. Allan Hagelberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kauno Porokara. 1-1. Kristian Räikkönen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Elmo Takala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kannonhaara IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmo Takala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmer Koistinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elmo Takala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Elmer Koistinen made a huge save. Elmer Koistinen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elmo Takala in the 90th minute.
