An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilari Ruisniemi in the 6th minute of play forced FC ED's goalkeeper Tolgahan Sipahi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olli-Pekka Törmänen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Turpeinen in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to FC ED getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Olgun Tardu hit a great ball. FC Möbel's Olli-Pekka Törmänen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius Turpeinen in the 21st minute of play. If Veijo Reinikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tolgahan Sipahi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilari Ruisniemi's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Ilari Ruisniemi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC ED's Tolgahan Sipahi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veijo Reinikainen got free with Olli-Pekka Törmänen in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Veijo Reinikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veijo Reinikainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olli-Pekka Törmänen having to interfere. Olli-Pekka Törmänen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veijo Reinikainen in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Ilari Ruisniemi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tolgahan Sipahi. Ilari Ruisniemi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 83rd minute, Ilari Ruisniemi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tolgahan Sipahi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. FC ED's Toni Snellman was substituted for Julius Turpeinen. After a defensive mix-up in FC ED's zone, Ilari Ruisniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolgahan Sipahi came out of the goal and Ilari Ruisniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC ED made a substitution. Markku Saarelainen replaced Jari Lehkosuo. The FC ED supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Möbel's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Möbel.
