The supporters of Pristina S.K booed when Katerma IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lasse Voutilainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Katerma IFK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Pristina S.K. Ahvo Andersson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sami Hautaniemi. 0-1. Heimo Lydman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sami Hautaniemi having to interfere. Hannu Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Aarre Tikkanen sent off a good shot on target. Katerma IFK's Sami Hautaniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heimo Lydman in the 26th minute of play. When Esko Erkkilä came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Pristina S.K fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esko Erkkilä couldn't finish the play. Pristina S.K were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salomon Hati to strike the kick off in the second half. Lasse Voutilainen's late challenge caught a Pristina S.K's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lasse Voutilainen helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Katerma IFK got a freekick which was hit by Lasse Voutilainen. Jaakko Järventie kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Sami Hautaniemi came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Pristina S.K's Esko Erkkilä. But to his dismay, Esko Erkkilä quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 60 minutes into the match, Pristina S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Aarre Tikkanen came free, but Hannu Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joni Myllykoski charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joni Myllykoski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the match, Pristina S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Aarre Tikkanen came free, but Hannu Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Pristina S.K left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Katerma IFK.
