Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tenho Metsäranta kicked off to start the match. If Paavo Vähä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuli Kaivola made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Paavo Vähä sent off a good shot on target. Elmer Eskelinen's late challenge caught a Sulja FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elmer Eskelinen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Murik IFK's Elmer Eskelinen got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Paavo Vähä came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Murik IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paavo Vähä couldn't finish the play. Samuli Kaivola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tenho Metsäranta in the 29th minute of play. Tenho Metsäranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sulja FC's Samuli Kaivola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tenho Metsäranta in the 33rd minute of play. Paavo Vähä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Samuli Kaivola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Sulja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tenho Metsäranta came free, but Samuli Kaivola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paavo Vähä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuli Kaivola having to interfere. Samuli Kaivola was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Tenho Metsäranta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tenho Metsäranta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Rantamaa to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Murik IFK's Saku Vilmunen got a free kick in the 57th minute. A collision led to Sulja FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Patrick Rantamaa hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Tenho Metsäranta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murik IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tenho Metsäranta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uuno Ylönen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Rantamaa in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Tenho Metsäranta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuli Kaivola. Sulja FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tenho Metsäranta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After some careless play in the Sulja FC defense, Tenho Metsäranta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuli Kaivola. The Sulja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuli Kaivola should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Tenho Metsäranta sped through Sulja FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuli Kaivola. In the 89th minute, Jukka-Pekka Porokara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Rantamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Rantamaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murik IFK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sulja FC for a fine match.
