Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ciro Cannone started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Espoo Red Bulls's Ciro Cannone got a free kick in the 6th minute. Stig-Arne Tidéksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tenho Metsäranta in the 7th minute of the match. If Paavo Vähä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Arne Tidéksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tenho Metsäranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paavo Vähä came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stig-Arne Tidéksson could save by the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Espoo Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Tenho Metsäranta came free, but Stig-Arne Tidéksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Espoo Red Bulls's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Tidéksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paavo Vähä. Leif Rantamäki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uuno Ylönen having to make a save. Ciro Cannone might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uuno Ylönen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Cannone ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th match minute, Espoo Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alpi Wahlroos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Espoo Red Bulls getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Leif Rantamäki hit a great ball. Stig-Arne Tidéksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paavo Vähä in the 34th minute. Espoo Red Bulls's Ciro Cannone got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Espoo Red Bulls's Stig-Arne Tidéksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Espoo Red Bulls from getting a goal against them. Espoo Red Bulls's Stig-Arne Tidéksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tenho Metsäranta in the 45th minute of play. Espoo Red Bulls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Saku Vilmunen scored to the left of an out of position Stig-Arne Tidéksson, making the score, 2-0. Espoo Red Bulls's Tomi Torkki was substituted for Leif Rantamäki. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tenho Metsäranta made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Paavo Vähä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Arne Tidéksson was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The supporters of Espoo Red Bulls booed when Murik IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saku Vilmunen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Arne Tidéksson came out of the goal and Tenho Metsäranta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Paavo Vähä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Arne Tidéksson was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. When Paavo Vähä came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Murik IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paavo Vähä couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paavo Vähä in the 76th minute of play forced Espoo Red Bulls's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Tidéksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espoo Red Bulls's Alpi Wahlroos got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Cannone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uuno Ylönen having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Espoo Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Saku Vilmunen came free, but Stig-Arne Tidéksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Murik IFK's Paavo Vähä made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig-Arne Tidéksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Pasi Pihlanen in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Espoo Red Bulls's Iivari Tuomisalo. Stig-Arne Tidéksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Vähä in the 93rd minute of play. Stig-Arne Tidéksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tenho Metsäranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Murik IFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Espoo Red Bulls had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
