In the 8th minute of the game Antti Modig made a throw-in which Tony Strömberg played forward. 14 minutes into the match, Henri Mäkilä had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lasse Mäkelä. United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henri Mäkilä was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Antti Pesonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lasse Mäkelä tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henri Mäkilä kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lasse Mäkelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aatto Myllylä in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Antti Pesonen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lasse Mäkelä. Lasse Mäkelä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Mäkilä in the 32nd minute of play. Lasse Mäkelä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henri Mäkilä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Salvator succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 37th playminute. Syvänmaa IFK were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jari Tuomisalo took the corner. The corner ended in Jari Tuomisalo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but United's Lasse Mäkelä did a great save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Salvator to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Faustão dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arttu Viitanen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A collision led to Syvänmaa IFK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Raine Helkamo hit a great ball. Lasse Mäkelä made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Strömberg in the 56th minute. Antti Pesonen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Lasse Mäkelä made a huge save. Antti Pesonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henri Mäkilä struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Lasse Mäkelä didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Syvänmaa IFK. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind United's goalkeeper Lasse Mäkelä, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henri Mäkilä in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lasse Mäkelä prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henri Mäkilä was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Syvänmaa IFK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 71st minute of the match, Tony Strömberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lasse Mäkelä was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 75th minute, Orlando Salvator ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arttu Viitanen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Antti Pesonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Henri Mäkilä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. United's Orlando Salvator got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Salvator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Viitanen having to interfere. Lasse Mäkelä made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Strömberg in the 92nd minute. United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
