After 15 minutes of play, United's Faustão dos Santos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anssi Tuores was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Salvator in the 18th minute of play forced Pallolaajennus 2010's goalkeeper Anssi Tuores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tommi Grönholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orlando Salvator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in United's zone, Mika Pajula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lasse Mäkelä came out of the goal and Mika Pajula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommi Grönholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Mäkelä having to interfere. Mika Pajula struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lasse Mäkelä didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pallolaajennus 2010. In the 47th minute Orlando Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anssi Tuores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Salvator to strike the kick off in the second half. Taisto Kärnä got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th minute, Taisto Kärnä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes United got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Salvator. Pallolaajennus 2010 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing United to leave the ground with a draw.
