Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anttoni Viljanen made the kick off which started today's match. After 6 played minutes, Simpparin pallo's Otto Nylund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sampo Hytönen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Simpparin pallo reached it. In the 8th minute of the match Otto Nylund shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sampo Hytönen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Anttoni Viljanen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rita's Sampo Hytönen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Oskari Harju managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simpparin pallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Oskari Harju was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sampo Hytönen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes Simpparin pallo got a freekick which was hit by Robert Lundell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eerik Raninen in the 19th minute of play forced Simpparin pallo's goalkeeper Maunu Ojansuu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maunu Ojansuu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eerik Raninen went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Sampo Hytönen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anttoni Viljanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marko Jokilahti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sampo Hytönen having to interfere. Iivari Vahalahti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maunu Ojansuu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Eerik Raninen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Maunu Ojansuu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anttoni Viljanen in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sampo Hytönen saved Rita from getting behind. Anttoni Viljanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sampo Hytönen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marko Jokilahti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sampo Hytönen having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Rita got a freekick which was hit by Kerkko Jaakkola. Simpparin pallo's Olli-Pekka Uitto got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Simpparin pallo's Anttoni Viljanen in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rita's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Simpparin pallo's Maunu Ojansuu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eerik Raninen in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Otto Nylund shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sampo Hytönen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Anttoni Viljanen came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Simpparin pallo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anttoni Viljanen couldn't finish the play. Anttoni Viljanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sampo Hytönen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maunu Ojansuu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iivari Vahalahti, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Simpparin pallo's Anttoni Viljanen got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sampo Hytönen made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Anttoni Viljanen sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Oskari Harju had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sampo Hytönen. Rita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oskari Harju was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Anttoni Viljanen might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sampo Hytönen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anttoni Viljanen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Anttoni Viljanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sampo Hytönen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otto Nylund took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sampo Hytönen. Rita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Antti Arkivuo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rita's protests and gave Antti Arkivuo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute Anttoni Viljanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sampo Hytönen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Rita's goalkeeper Sampo Hytönen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anttoni Viljanen. Anttoni Viljanen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Sampo Hytönen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Rita's zone, Anttoni Viljanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sampo Hytönen came out of the goal and Anttoni Viljanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simpparin pallo played a much better game than Rita and deserved their victory. The Rita players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
