Spectators: 7665 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kristian Alin kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mämmenkylä IFK's zone, Risto Rissanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juha-Pekka Esala came out of the goal and Risto Rissanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vesa Tuovinen struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Juha-Pekka Esala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lehmäjoki FC. Juha-Pekka Esala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vesa Tuovinen in the 12th minute of the match. Vesa Tuovinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juha-Pekka Esala having to interfere. Lehmäjoki FC's Paavo Haapamäki got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes, August Kantola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mämmenkylä IFK and the Lehmäjoki FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Mämmenkylä IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Kantola to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Topias Meriläinen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urho Hautaniemi saved Lehmäjoki FC from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Lehmäjoki FC's Risto Rissanen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juha-Pekka Esala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute Lehmäjoki FC were awarded a corner. Vesa Tuovinen went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Vesa Tuovinen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juha-Pekka Esala quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Urho Hautaniemi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Alin's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Kristian Alin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lehmäjoki FC's Urho Hautaniemi. Urho Hautaniemi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 0-2 became the score in the 34th minute when Kristian Alin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Paavo Haapamäki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juha-Pekka Esala was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Vesa Tuovinen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vesa Tuovinen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When Into Nyrhinen came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lehmäjoki FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Into Nyrhinen couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Risto Rissanen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juha-Pekka Esala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Risto Rissanen in the 55th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Mämmenkylä IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Risto Rissanen came free, but Juha-Pekka Esala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Risto Rissanen took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha-Pekka Esala. Juha-Pekka Esala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 67th minute, Vesa Tuovinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Risto Rissanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Juha-Pekka Esala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mämmenkylä IFK's August Kantola got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered August Kantola off the ground. The supporters of Lehmäjoki FC booed when Mämmenkylä IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. August Kantola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juha-Pekka Esala came out of the goal and Into Nyrhinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lehmäjoki FC's Paavo Haapamäki got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simo Suutarinen took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha-Pekka Esala. Juha-Pekka Esala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. If Risto Rissanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juha-Pekka Esala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Risto Rissanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paavo Haapamäki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Lehmäjoki FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
