If Kimi Ruuttu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pellervo Hedberg fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Barca's protests and gave Pellervo Hedberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Fc Barca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pellervo Hedberg to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Niko Pesonen from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Veijo Viitanen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Oskari Laulaja kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jaakoppi Kinnaslampi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kimi Ruuttu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Kimi Ruuttu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pirunrakki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pellervo Hedberg was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Fc Barca getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Pellervo Hedberg hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iikka Kilpelä in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaakoppi Kinnaslampi saved Fc Barca from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Raino Pihlanen made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iikka Kilpelä in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaakoppi Kinnaslampi saved Fc Barca from getting behind. After 58 minutes, Ari Vauhkonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pirunrakki and the Fc Barca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Pirunrakki's Ari Vauhkonen got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Rafael Oravainen threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Pirunrakki's Oskari Laulaja quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Raino Pihlanen struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Veijo Viitanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Barca. After a rather tough play, FC Pirunrakki's Vesa Ruohiainen got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Leizarraga Goyanes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veijo Viitanen skillfully saved the ball. After 73 played minutes FC Pirunrakki got a freekick which was hit by Iikka Kilpelä. Raino Pihlanen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veijo Viitanen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Jaakoppi Kinnaslampi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iikka Kilpelä's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Raino Pihlanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Pirunrakki's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
