Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tommi Brunila kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. RPS's Hermanni Keinänen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eelis Korhonen in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Osmalax's zone, Daavid Laiho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Häppölä came out of the goal and Daavid Laiho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luis María Angel came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the RPS fans jumped to their feet. Paul Häppölä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis María Angel in the 31st minute of play. Hemminki Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Paul Häppölä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eino Vainio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, RPS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hemminki Lindström to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Osmalax's Atte Paappanen tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Atte Paappanen kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Arto Sinisalo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Häppölä skillfully saved the ball. Paul Häppölä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eino Vainio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Osmalax players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RPS were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eino Vainio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Osmalax booed when RPS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daavid Laiho didn't get a good kick on the ball.
