Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) ST. MICHEL's Orvo Nikkinen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Orvo Nikkinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Lauri Pölönen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kustaa Lahikainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toivo Siren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kustaa Lahikainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eerik Lahikainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, ST. MICHEL's goal looked a bit too open when Eerik Lahikainen came free, but Kustaa Lahikainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, ST. MICHEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaro Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. Kustaa Lahikainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heino Somervuori in the 24th minute of the match. Jukka-Pekka Kaukomaa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauri Pölönen came out and tried to block the shot, but Jukka-Pekka Kaukomaa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Niko Nikkari made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaro Gustafsson however managed to control. When Aaro Gustafsson came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the ST. MICHEL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaro Gustafsson couldn't finish the play. Kustaa Lahikainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Jussilainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kustaa Lahikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eerik Lahikainen in the 37th minute of play. Kustaa Lahikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heino Somervuori in the 38th minute of play. ST. MICHEL's Kustaa Lahikainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eerik Lahikainen in the 39th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eerik Lahikainen made a kick off. Kustaa Lahikainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Jussilainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Kustaa Lahikainen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Soppela FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Heino Kukkamäki hit a great ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soppela FC's goalkeeper Lauri Pölönen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Aarne Puhakainen in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Soppela FC's Kristian Jussilainen. Kristian Jussilainen took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kustaa Lahikainen. Kustaa Lahikainen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Eerik Jousmäki kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Orvo Nikkinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Aaro Gustafsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lauri Pölönen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Kustaa Lahikainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heino Somervuori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Heino Somervuori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kustaa Lahikainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Arttu Pietilä took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Kustaa Lahikainen to make any attempt to save it. Kustaa Lahikainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arttu Pietilä, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. MICHEL's goalkeeper Kustaa Lahikainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eerik Lahikainen. The Soppela FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soppela FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
