After 18 minutes of play, Verla's Viljami Jussila made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tapani Pasanen to make the kick off. Vihtori Salonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Topias Taipale, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Vihtori Salonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Topias Taipale's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Voitto Sainio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Verla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
