Elmer Laakso guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Anselmi Manneroos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jalmari Tammisto came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Tinaajat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jalmari Tammisto couldn't finish the play. Jalmari Tammisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmer Laakso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lupaniemi IFK's zone, Anselmi Manneroos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmer Laakso came out of the goal and Anselmi Manneroos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tinaajat's Jesse Mantila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eetu Savijoki in the 30th minute of play. A hard shot 32 in the game by Jalmari Tammisto from a close distance when the talented Elmer Laakso managed to make a qualified save. Lupaniemi IFK's players were relieved. When Eetu Savijoki fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupaniemi IFK's protests and gave Eetu Savijoki a yellow card for diving instead. Eetu Savijoki kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Elmer Laakso stood somewhat misplaced when Jalmari Tammisto came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 35 minute. Anttoni Kivimäki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elmer Laakso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jalmari Tammisto to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jalmari Tammisto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tinaajat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 57th minute, Aappo Siltavirta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tinaajat reached it. Tinaajat's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
