The long shot by Uljas Peltoniemi in the 9th minute really tested Aleksi Kilponen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tero Haanpää during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tero Haanpää hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Viitinki's goal looked a bit too open when Jouko Nybacka came free, but Aleksi Kilponen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Ihme FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esa Kamppuri to maneuver through the defense. If Patrik Miettinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksi Kilponen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jouko Nybacka in the 61st minute of play.
