Petteri Määttä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Salomo Siltanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Mormons FC's Aleksi Heliskoski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Aukusti Mäkiaho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salomo Siltanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Halminen, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Aleksi Heliskoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhani Hirvonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mormons FC defense, Rikhard Koivuporras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salomo Siltanen. The Mormons FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salomo Siltanen should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Mormons FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of hovsala bk:s goal. Mormons FC:s Salomo Siltanen showed great skill when he stopped August Könönen:s penalty. 38 minutes into the match, Mormons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Halminen came free, but Salomo Siltanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joakim Numminen fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored hovsala bk's protests and gave Joakim Numminen a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes hovsala bk got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Numminen.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aukusti Mäkiaho was the one to do the kick off. When Rikhard Koivuporras came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the hovsala bk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikhard Koivuporras couldn't finish the play. Ali Halminen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Petteri Määttä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salomo Siltanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Halminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Ali Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomo Siltanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juhani Hirvonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aukusti Mäkiaho in the 85th minute of the match. Salomo Siltanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Halminen in the 87th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Risto Tuominen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mormons FC and the hovsala bk players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Mormons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Risto Tuominen to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched hovsala bk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
