Porkanranta's Heino Lumio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Porkanranta from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Anssi Sanevuori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Visa Pihkala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tuukka Lahtela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Visa Pihkala having to interfere. A collision led to fc yliutos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Kai Lumme hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tuukka Lahtela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Visa Pihkala was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Heino Lumio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joni Viitanen in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anssi Sanevuori to strike the kick off in the second half. Tuukka Lahtela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Visa Pihkala having to interfere. If Aappo Kuivalainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tuukka Lahtela came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Porkanranta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tuukka Lahtela couldn't finish the play. fc yliutos's Aappo Kuivalainen got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Porkanranta's zone, Pauli Markkula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heino Lumio came out of the goal and Pauli Markkula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tuukka Lahtela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Visa Pihkala having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Anssi Sanevuori dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Visa Pihkala, 1-1. If Aappo Kuivalainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Henrikki Ojala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Pauli Markkula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anssi Sanevuori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute, Joni Viitanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. fc yliutos were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Porkanranta to leave the ground with a draw.
