Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ali Halminen got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Atso Welling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Juhani Hirvonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ali Halminen's late challenge caught a Riffe United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Halminen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to hovsala bk getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ali Halminen hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atso Welling in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juhani Hirvonen saved hovsala bk from getting behind. Ali Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daavid Hiukka having to interfere. Daavid Hiukka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Numminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Ali Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daavid Hiukka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, hovsala bk's Ali Halminen got a free kick in the 16th minute. Daavid Hiukka came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by hovsala bk's Ali Halminen. But to his dismay, Ali Halminen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 28 played minutes hovsala bk got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Numminen. 32 minutes into the match, hovsala bk's goal looked a bit too open when Kimmo Välimäki came free, but Juhani Hirvonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, hovsala bk's goalkeeper Juhani Hirvonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atso Welling. Atso Welling who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Juhani Hirvonen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Atso Welling made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Rikhard Koivuporras notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Riffe United's Daavid Hiukka. Daavid Hiukka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joakim Numminen kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Juhani Hirvonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atso Welling's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After 59 played minutes hovsala bk got a freekick which was hit by Rikhard Koivuporras. The audience was convinced that Atso Welling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juhani Hirvonen was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in hovsala bk's zone, Kimmo Välimäki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juhani Hirvonen came out of the goal and Kimmo Välimäki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Rikhard Koivuporras could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Daavid Hiukka however easily saved by the left post. Daavid Hiukka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petteri Määttä in the 65th minute. Daavid Hiukka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Numminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atso Welling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Riffe United's Kauko Virta got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atso Welling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Rikhard Koivuporras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daavid Hiukka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes hovsala bk got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Palonen. Daavid Hiukka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikhard Koivuporras in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Kimmo Välimäki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhani Hirvonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in hovsala bk's zone, Sami Tervo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juhani Hirvonen came out of the goal and Sami Tervo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
