Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Taneli Heinikangas kicked off to start the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Verneri Kamppuri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kiettare FC's Ensio Haapaporras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kiettare FC's zone, Verneri Kamppuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ensio Haapaporras came out of the goal and Verneri Kamppuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Verneri Kamppuri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Verneri Kamppuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Väinö Virtanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aleksis Niskala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirkka Lahti having to interfere. Ensio Haapaporras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verneri Kamppuri, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ensio Haapaporras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Väinö Virtanen in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Markus Viklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiettare FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tanhua FC the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Markus Viklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reko Lahtinen charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reko Lahtinen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kiettare FC's Reko Lahtinen got a free kick in the 45th minute. Niilo Willman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ensio Haapaporras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Verneri Kamppuri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ensio Haapaporras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verneri Kamppuri in the 54th minute of play. Ensio Haapaporras made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Väinö Virtanen sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the game, Juha-Pekka Rintala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 61st minute Niilo Willman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ensio Haapaporras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Tanhua FC's Verneri Kamppuri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ensio Haapaporras. Ensio Haapaporras yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Markus Viklund was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Tanhua FC booed when Kiettare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 83 minutes, Taneli Heinikangas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kiettare FC and the Tanhua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Kiettare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taneli Heinikangas to maneuver through the defense. Kiettare FC's Ensio Haapaporras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verneri Kamppuri in the 84th minute of play. Juha-Pekka Rintala hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ensio Haapaporras acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hemminki Kaipainen. Verneri Kamppuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ensio Haapaporras having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Kiettare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Verneri Kamppuri came free, but Ensio Haapaporras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tanhua FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
