Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute, Elmo Nyman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ernesti Pihlajamäki put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jorma Oksa. Vilhola's Mikko Reponen got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesti Pihlajamäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorma Oksa having to interfere. Jorma Oksa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikko Reponen in the 20th minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Ernesti Pihlajamäki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pallo-Kuomat's Jorma Oksa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikko Heinikainen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Pallo-Kuomat. Eero Kananen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jyrki Kopelmo. 2-1. In the 36th minute Jimi Kilponen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jyrki Kopelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Vilhola's Ernesti Pihlajamäki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorma Oksa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pallo-Kuomat's Jorma Oksa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesti Pihlajamäki in the 45th minute of play. Nikodemus Nielikäinen took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorma Oksa. Jorma Oksa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.

The wind increased when Jimi Kilponen made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Pallo-Kuomat's Jorma Oksa got control of the ball when Ernesti Pihlajamäki tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ernesti Pihlajamäki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorma Oksa was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. A collision led to Pallo-Kuomat getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Aatami Sauso hit a great ball. Ernesti Pihlajamäki might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorma Oksa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesti Pihlajamäki ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorma Oksa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elmo Nyman's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Mikko Reponen struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jorma Oksa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilhola. When Ernesti Pihlajamäki fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilhola's protests and gave Ernesti Pihlajamäki a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Pallo-Kuomat's Jorma Oksa got control of the ball when Mikko Reponen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhola's Elmo Nyman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorma Oksa. That made the score 2-6 after 76 minutes of play. Jorma Oksa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvo Kuuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorma Oksa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesti Pihlajamäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Ernesti Pihlajamäki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorma Oksa was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Ernesti Pihlajamäki had several of the Pallo-Kuomat's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-7 score and a disappointed Jorma Oksa as he didn't even see the shot coming.
