Severi Nurmi came out of the goal and Paavo Puhakainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paavo Puhakainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ossian Antila to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ossian Antila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paavo Puhakainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severi Nurmi having to interfere. Akilles F.C's Severi Nurmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paavo Puhakainen in the 59th minute of play.
