If Aarne Kaven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Litmanen in the 17th minute of play forced Akilles F.C's goalkeeper Severi Nurmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimi Ristilä made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ossian Antila sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Aimo Ikola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severi Nurmi was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Severi Nurmi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aimo Ikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aimo Ikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Aarne Kaven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heimari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aarne Kaven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aimo Ikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Akilles F.C's Severi Nurmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aarne Kaven in the 45th minute of play. Heimari FC's Aarne Kaven got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Ossian Antila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Heimari FC's Unto Rosenqvist got a free kick in the 70th minute. Aarne Kaven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Severi Nurmi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Aimo Ikola took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Severi Nurmi to make any attempt to save it. 83 minutes into the game, Anselmi Helavuori was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akilles F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heimari FC the free kick. 82 minutes into the game, one of Akilles F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 91 minutes into the game, Heimari FC's Aimo Ikola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severi Nurmi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Aimo Ikola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Severi Nurmi made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Akilles F.C's Ossian Antila got a free kick in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Litmanen in the 98th minute of play forced Akilles F.C's goalkeeper Severi Nurmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Heimari FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Heimari FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
