In a very dangerous position, a player in Heimari FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The referee gave AC Vaalimaa a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kaarle Vilmunen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Heimari FC's Jimi Ristilä. 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Keijo Pietikäinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. When Esko Sairanen came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the AC Vaalimaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esko Sairanen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Heimari FC booed when AC Vaalimaa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Lääkkö didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorma Ahonen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Heimari FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Keijo Pietikäinen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Esko Sairanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimi Ristilä having to interfere. Esko Sairanens short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Jimi Ristilä to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
